Events & News"It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.”
All children from all schools, 4 years old through 6th grade, are invited to participate in Sunday School and all Religious Education programs and activities. Adult volunteer catechists teach our Sunday School classes.
All children's Sunday School classes are from 9:00 to 10:15am (August-May)
Second graders prepare for the celebration of First Reconciliation mid-year and then celebrate First Holy Communion during the Easter Season. Several events are held during the preparation process to engage children and parents in the sacramental life of the parish. Children in 3rd grade or up who are preparing to receive the sacraments will attend their own grade's Sunday School classes; and in addition, parents will be supplied at-home catechetical materials and after-school family sessions to specifically prepare children for sacraments.
Please contact the parish office or Mary Catherine George ([email protected]) in the parish office (601) 856-5556 for more information about our Children's Ministries.
Children from all schools who are preparing to receive First Holy Communion participate in a morning of creative activities led by parents and volunteers that focus on the meaning and the importance of the Eucharist while building community with one another. The morning ends with a breakfast prepared by parents of communicants!
